Felipe had worked as a Spanish tutor both in Columbia and England and was keen to transfer some of these skills to improving reading and writing for children.
Partnerships with schools are incredibly valuable to The Children’s Literacy Charity. We work closely with teaching staff in each one of our schools to deliver the highest quality partnerships that deliver direct impact for children and young people.
Rachel Church-Moore’s son began a literacy intervention with us when he was in Year Two.
Tom is now in Year 10 and studying for his GCSE’s. Tom attended a Springboard centre (what we now call Literacy Lab) at Kingswood School when he was in Year 3. Tom believes his time with us gave him a passion for studying English. His ambitions of studing at LSE to become a Spin Doctor are directly attributable to the time he spent working with our tutors.
