The Children’s Literacy Charity has always partnered with schools, working closely and collaboratively to support children who need the most help.
Our tutors are managed by us, but also become part of the school community; some have worked at the same schools for many years.
Once a child has been referred to the charity, we liaise closely with head teachers, SENCOs, class teachers and support staff to ensure that the child is supported as effectively as possible. We work with the school to create an approach that best supports the individual child and reflects the school’s goals and priorities.

Supporting Families
With family support and encouragement, we know our children do better.
We use our experience and knowledge to share ideas and top tips for literacy support at home. Click here to go to our family learning webpages.

Families play a vital role in supporting a child’s learning. When parents engage and become involved with their child’s education, all the evidence shows this has a powerful impact on their child’s aspirations and attitude to learning. We encourage families to engage with their child’s learning, both at school and at home, and show how much they value education through support and encouragement.
