Early Years Programme Engagement Manager (London)
We are looking for a skilled Early Years Programme Engagement Manager for 3 days a week, term time only until the end of the Summer term 2025. Salary is £32,000 per annum (pro-rated to £19,200 per annum).
This is an exciting new role at the charity and will be dual focused; managing our new Early Years programme across school-based Story Labs and increasing parental engagement across all of our reading and literacy programmes including Early Years.
You will focus on the direct management of the teaching team in an annually determined portfolio of schools and will act as the quality assurance operational lead across the Early Years programme, as well as being a Deputy Safeguarding Lead. You will also support the development and delivery of a charity wide parental engagement strategy.
We are looking for experience of working in an Early Years setting and with safeguarding practices (QTS desirable), excellent communication skills to work with a variety of stakeholders (e.g. tutors, senior teachers, parents). The ability to organise, manage and motivate tutors across the programme in different partner schools and a willingness to travel across schools and to our London based central office.

Freelance Literacy Trainer (London based with travel)
We are seeking a Freelance Literacy Trainer to help deliver and grow the charity’s Reader Leader programme (on an adhoc basis in response to training bookings).
We are looking for a trainer with a background in literacy who will work with us to help promote the programme and deliver the one-day training course in schools in London and around the country.
Our Reader Leader programme is a one-to-one mentoring scheme where a more confident older student is paired with a less confident, younger reader and we deliver this in both primary and secondary schools.
We are looking for experience of delivering literacy training or teaching and working with young people, knowledge of specific learning difficulties relating to literacy and preferably qualified teacher status and experience of developing and delivering training.
You can find more information about the programme here and details of the job role and person specification below. We will review applications on a rolling basis so please submit your application as soon as possible to emma.jones@theclc.org.uk
