Reading Lab Tutor (Knutton, Newcastle-under-Lyme)
We are looking for a skilled Reading Lab Tutor to work a minimum of 2 days a week to deliver our Reading Lab programme in our partner school in Knutton, Newcastle-Under-Lyme.
The successful candidate will tutor small groups of children on a one-to-three basis in primary schools, tutoring 15 pupils twice a week on our 10-week catch up reading comprehension programme. Full training and induction will be provided along with ongoing support.
You will be able to build a supportive and encouraging relationship with the pupils you are tutoring, helping them to reach their potential and gain in confidence as well as undertaking assessments and reviews for all pupils. You will also be able to foster strong relations with key personnel within the partner school.
We are looking for candidates with experience of teaching, tutoring or working as a teaching assistant with experience working with or supporting primary aged children with the ability to demonstrate empathy, understanding and patience towards children who require additional support. The role is a fixed term contract until the end of the Summer term 2025 with the potential to be extended depending on funding. The role is 2 days pw, term time only and the rate is £105 per day. We are looking for the right candidate to start immediately.
