We are always keen to hear from people who are thinking about being one of our tutors.

Either register your interest by completing the form below or if you would like an informal discussion first, please email Beata Gawthrop on: Emma.Jones@theclc.org.uk

Please note that currently we have Literacy Labs in primary schools in London and Manchester so for now we are unable to offer tutor positions elsewhere in the country. All positions are term-time only during school hours.

By submitting this form you give your consent for us to retain your details on file for 12 months and for us to contact you for the purposes of recruitment.

All our tutors are employed by us and while we offer comprehensive training in our specialist intervention, ideally we ask our tutors to have a background in teaching or supporting hard to reach children.

Tutors often work part time, usually two days a week, throughout the academic year. We provide full support through our Schools Programme Managers and the Education team. All positions are subject to interview and relevant safeguarding checks, including DBS clearance.

An important aspect of our intervention is consistency of the tutors with the children being supported so we prefer tutors who are able to commit for at least one year; many of our tutors have been with us for over ten years.
