LOOK UP | Nathan Bryon | Read aloud #storyoftheweek – YouTube
Day 1: Read or watch the book Look Up! Afterwards, sit with an adult and tell them the story in your own words. Can you remember all the events? Use the pages of the book to help you.
Day 2: Learn about meteor showers by watching this video. Make a list of as many words as you can describe a meteor shower, for example: bright, magical, sparkling. Choose your favourite three words and write a sentence using each one.

Day 3: Think of a word to describe how Rocket feels on each page of the book. Draw a picture to go with each emotion.
Day 4: Look at the picture of Rocket’s bedroom. How can you tell what she is interested in? Make a list of all the things in the room that are to do with space.
Day 5: Design a flyer to invite people to the meteor shower. Don’t forget to tell them:
- When it is
- Where it is
- Why they should come
Day 6: Find out about Mae Jemison. Write down or tell an adult the most interesting five facts that you find out!
